Since January, A.O. Construction has been working on downtown Winter Haven’s new Upper Crust Pizza, an artisanal pizza kitchen that will be at 362 Third St. NW next to the Social Cocktail Lounge. The building will be developed into three units, one of which will house Upper Crust Pizza.
In our first post on the project, we showed you our progress cutting up the concrete slab to reroute the plumbing to the new footprint and tie it into the existing drainage system. Now, we’ve completed the trenching for the underground plumbing and poured back the concrete floors. Currently, we’re working on the metal stud wall framing, as well as prep work for electrical. Let’s take a look at our current progress.
First up, we have the framing for the new half wall counter. We’ve also installed the electrical conduit in the framed walls.
Here we have the framing of the wall at the back of the kitchen. We’ve also installed electrical conduit, as well as new supply and drain lines for the plumbing.
This picture shows the location of the new panel box for the electrical service.
Here we have the framing where an interior door will be located.
Finally, we have before and after pictures of the alleyway behind the restaurant. We had to demolish the asphalt in the alley in order to run a new sewer line to meet city code requirements. This consisted of replacing the existing 4-inch sewer line with a new 6-inch sewer line. Then we milled and repaved the asphalt after this was completed. The first picture shows the alley before, and the second picture shows it after we repaved.
