As one of the most successful construction companies in Polk County, it’s important for A.O. Construction to build a sense of community with local residents and local businesses. We continue to maintain relationships throughout the Central Florida construction market, and our track record of returning clients proves this.
We’re excited to sign on for another project with longtime client Caladesi Construction. Under this contract we’ll be erecting a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) at the Tampa Dewatering Facility in Tampa.
In the photos above, you can see the concrete structure of the first two stories. In this unique project, the PEMB is being erected on the third story. It starts at 39 feet above the ground!
- Photo 1 shows all of the columns set. In addition, we have started setting the end wall rafters.
- Photo 2 shows the crew setting the end columns. It is being hoisted by a crane, with the crew working out of 80-feet-high boom lifts.
- Photo 3 gives you a look at the steel columns on top of the concrete structure.
- Photo 5 is a photo of the steel columns from the boom lift.
Our next steps for this project are to continue setting the rafter frames and then fill in the secondary framing.
The Tampa dewatering facility building is set to be completed by the middle of January.
