While you’ll often see our A.O. Construction crews around Polk County and Central Florida, we’re a trusted company in more northern parts of the state as well. Our most recent project brought us to Leesburg to work on a metal building that will be used as a pest control office and warehouse. Previously, the space was used to cut granite countertops, and our goal was to transform it so it was perfect for its new occupants.
The project involved:
- Resheeting the walls and roof with new 26-gauge R-panels
- Installing new R-10 vinyl backed insulation
- Installing new framing for two 12’ x 12’ overhead doors
- Installing three new walk doors
- Installing new gutter, rake trim, and downspouts
- Installing four new 10’ monovents on the roof
Let’s take a look at how everything turned out.
Here is a look at the before pictures that give you a good idea of the deterioration of the existing metal building sheets.
We removed a damaged portion of the existing column and replaced it with new steel. We welded in the new column, grinded it, and painted it.
This is the insulation we used in the new roof and walls.

This picture shows the new roof sheets stacked and pre-drilled before installation.
It wasn’t long before we placed the beautiful new 26-gauge Galvalume roof sheets on the building. At right, you can see those sheets along with four new monovents.
We removed the existing wall panels (top row), so we could install new 26-gauge sidewall panels in the color light stone (bottom row).
This photo shows the stark contrast between the new and old wall sheets and the extent of the damage on the original sheets.
In these two pictures, you can see the new vinyl-backed R10 insulation in the roof and walls.
Finally, we have the complete front end wall with new wall sheets, two new walk doors, new outside corners, and new rake trim.
