Late last year, A.O. Construction got started on a project to fully renovate Parkway Car Wash at 3909 S. Florida Avenue in Lakeland in partnership with SVN (Saunders Ralston Dantzler Real Estate). The property is owned by Imperial Florida Partners, a Lakeland based commercial real estate investment group.
We know the Polk County community loves to celebrate our progress as much as we do, so we shared regular updates in January, March and again in April as the project progressed. Now, the finish line is almost in sight, and we expect to wrap it up by June!
The exterior of the building is coming along nicely, with new block walls, new trusses, a new parapet wall, and a new TPO roof. From here, the next step will be to install metal siding and signage.
This wide-angle shot offers a better view inside the building, showing the two automatic car wash bays to the left and the two vacuum bays on the right. We’ve put in new concrete, fresh paint, and new block walls. The room with the black exterior will be the equipment room, which will house car wash vending supplies and maintenance equipment.
We’ve installed a new trench drain, and next we’ll be installing grates over the drain.
This state of the art car wash will need a place for the electronics, so we’ve built a new data room with new concrete slab, framing, drywall, and electrical. From here, we’ll be applying new paint in the room.
The new block walls, paint, concrete slab, trusses, and trench drain we’ve put in the automatic car wash bay really show how far we’ve come. Up next in this area, we’ll be installing metal paneling soffit and trench grates, then car wash equipment will be installed the first week of June.
