Back in June, A.O. Construction started a new building for the East Polk County Association of Realtors, or EPCAR, a trade association for realtors in the East Polk area. Now, we’re excited to share an update with you all on our progress.
First up is the exterior of the front of the building. So far, we’ve installed the standing seam roof, framed and sheeted the wall where we removed the exterior doors, and installed a gutter. From here, we’ll paint the metal siding and install the storefront doors and an aluminum canopy
Next, we have the office area. We’ve installed the hat channel to the trusses, roughed the HVAC, and are currently roughing the electrical. The back wall has been framed and insulated in order to receive windows, including 120-foot-tall storefront windows. The existing floor has also been removed, and the next step will be to hang drywall.
Here you can see our current progress on the gang bathrooms. We’ve stubbed drains up through the concrete slab and water supply lines through the wall. We’ve also installed cement board as a backer for the ceramic tile finish. The next step will be to install the ceramic tile.
This is the mop sink area where plumbing has been stubbed and a metal door frame has been hung.
This photo shows the conference room with electrical and data stubs that will supply the future desk.
In the hallway, we’ve installed metal framing, removed the existing flooring, and roughed HVAC and electrical.
Finally, take a peek at our progress on the conference room. So far, we’ve installed drywall, roughed the walls for electrical and data, and framed the exterior wall for the exit door. This room will be finished with acoustical ceiling, painted drywall, and LVT flooring throughout.
We’re making great progress on this project so far, and are set to finish by the first week of November.
