Hey Wauchula, is your mouth watering yet? A.O. Construction crew’s hard work is bringing Wauchula’s new Woody’s Bar-B-Q restaurant even closer to completion. The project started in August, and things have continued to come along nicely since our last update in September. Let’s take a look at the latest pictures to see how the project is shaping up.
Up first is the front dining area. We’ve demolished the existing floors and applied floor leveler. We’ve also finished installing the drywall and applied a coat of primer, as well as roughing in the HVAC and electrical. From here, the next steps will be to lay luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring, finish painting, and hang the acoustical ceiling.
Here you can see the bar area, which has been framed and had electrical and plumbing roughed in. From here, we’ll install the finish panels on the bar and the countertop. We’ve also put in a wall behind the bar that will separate the kitchen from the front of house.
Next we have the back of house. We’ve installed fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) panels and roughed in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Finally, we have some odds and ends. In the first picture, you can see the current state of the drive-through window. In the second picture, you can see what will be one of the new ADA compliant bathrooms. Finally, we have a view of the HVAC above the unfinished ceiling; the finished ceiling will be acoustical grid and tile.
This project continues to go well as we work to get the restaurant ready to open their doors to the fine people of Wauchula. We’re on pace to complete the project in November, and we’re close enough to the finish line we can almost smell the barbeque cooking!
