Start picking your toppings because Winter Haven’s Upper Crust Pizza is just about complete! We’re building more than excitement as we enter the final month of the project!
Since January, A.O. Construction Services has been working diligently on Winter Haven’s first artisanal pizza kitchen.
We’ve shared a few updates with you before, but check out our most recent work and see how it’s shaping up.
First up is the front counter area. Here, we’ve completed the light gauge framing, stubbed in electrical through the half wall, and installed HVAC in the ceilings. We’ve also installed, finished, and textured the drywall in this area so we could finish with a coat of paint.
Here you can see the new ceiling grid we’ve installed. We’ve also installed a new A.C. grid and a new LED light inside the ceiling grid, as well as installing ductwork in the ceiling.
Up next is the kitchen area, where we’ll have the pizza oven and dish pit. We’ve put in new framed walls; hung, finished, and textured new drywall; and put in new ceiling grid, lights, and HVAC. Up next, we’ll be painting, installing electrical fixtures, and putting in VCT flooring.
These two pictures show the service counter, with the second showing the pass-through window to the left. Our next steps here are to paint, do the electrical trim out, install ceiling tiles, put in VCT flooring, and install a new countertop that will be used for the cashier.

Finally, take a peek at the exterior of the building and the new awning and paint done by the owner.
We’ve been working on this project since January 22, and we continue to make good progress. Like all of our projects, doing a quality job with a quick turnaround is our priority, and we’re on track to finish this project by the end of April.
