At A.O. Construction, one of our specialties is erecting pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs), including owner-purchased metal buildings.
We recently started putting up a PEMB for frequent customer of ours in Lithia. They’ve supplied the building, while our team is handling the labor and equipment to erect it. This will be a 40-foot x 80-foot building with a 20-foot x 80-foot wing unit. Once completed, the building will be used for equipment storage. Let’s take a look at our progress on the project so far.
Up first is setting the steel structure. So far, we’ve stood the columns and installed the eave girts, and we’re currently setting the roof purlins.
We’ve also finished installing the end wall framing.
With this side wall up, the next step will be to install the wall purlins and bracing.
We also have the opposite side wall up, and it’s awaiting the wall purlins.
We’ve started installing the wall sheets on the side wall, and already have the personnel door installed.
The overhead door openings have been framed and trimmed. We also have all the wall and roof structures installed, as well as the rod bracing and flange bracing.
The endwall here also features an overhead door opening.
With the framing of the main building done, we’ve also put up the framing of the wing unit.
We’ve started putting on the vinyl backed insulation from the inside of the building. This will sit between the wall sheets and the steel structure.
We started this project September 30, and we’ve wasted no time getting the building erected. At our current pace, we expect to complete this project by Friday, October 11.
