The A.O. Construction crew is down south in Wauchula working hard to bring another great business to the area. We’re building a new Woody’s Bar-B-Q restaurant, a staple franchise here in Florida. We teamed up with Crews Banking Corp. to do this interior buildout of the building they are leasing to the restaurant.
We included these photos to give you virtual tour of what we’ve been working on.
This picture shows the seating area of the restaurant. We will be removing the tile flooring, tile walls, drywall, acoustical ceiling and light fixtures. Then we’ll install new drywall, texture and paint the walls. The floors will be installed with a new vinyl plank flooring that replicates wood, we’ll add a new acoustical ceiling and new light fixtures over the tables.
We’ll be adding a third bathroom to meet occupancy code and the restrooms in the back will be remodeled to comply with ADA code. This bathroom remodel will consist of all new fixtures and ADA accessories, including grab bars, mirrors and more. We have to also enlarge each restroom to accommodate wheelchair access.
We’re adding a new bar to this area and making sure Woody’s will have everything they need to serve their customers. This includes new plumbing, new electric for the soda machines, and a hand-washing station.
This is a sitting area in front of the storefront windows. We will demo and install flooring, tile walls, and light fixtures.

From this angle, you can see the bar, looking into the kitchen. This wall is getting removed to accommodate the new layout. The new drive-thru for to-go orders will soon be built to the left of the area shown. New drywall, flooring, and electric are also planned for this section.
This kitchen will soon be stocked with all of Woody’s kitchen equipment – an oven, friers, a hood system – which they’ll be installing themselves. Our job is to run the appropriate power, plumbing and gas lines to make sure the equipment can operate correctly and safety.
These electrical panels will be getting replaced.
This is an old storage area that will be completely removed. It doesn’t meet code and is a hazard, so we’ll take care of this problem for our client.
Here is a back-of-house view of a part of the food-preparation area. We’re mostly cleaning up and making minor repairs in this section.
This is a storage area that also only needs minor fixes and some cleaning up.
We’re working hard making sure we get this restaurant up to code and ready to serve delicious BBQ. We expect to complete this project in early November, right before the holidays.
