A.O. Construction has been hard at work remodeling DayDreams Day & Med Spa in South Lakeland’s Lakeside Village. We finished Phase 1 of the project last year, wherein we did an interior buildout of space next door to the business they acquired.
This year, we started Phase 2 of the remodel, which commenced in October. We’re renovating the existing business space, which covers about 4,200 square feet. Let’s take a look at our progress so far.
We’re excited to share photos of how the front reception area is progressing. The reception desk was designed from the owner’s perspective, and it is made with stained wood and custom countertops. We’ve also put in new luxury vinyl plank flooring, new black acoustical ceiling tiles and grid, and a new chandelier feature over the reception desk. The rear wall has also been wallpapered to give it a waterfall appearance.
These pictures give you a better look behind the reception desk, showing off the custom cabinets we installed for storage.
Here’s a view of the reception area from a different angle that shows the partition wall we’ve installed, which separates Phase 1 from Phase 2.
We put a lot of work into the waiting area to make it a tranquil retreat. We put in new luxury vinyl plank flooring, new wallpaper to create a forest background, new lighting, and a new façade on the TV wall. We also created the faux beams in the ceiling, which create the look of wood trusses.
In this curved hallway, we’ve installed new luxury vinyl plank as well as new black ceiling grid and ceiling tile. We’ve also applied new drywall, base, and paint.
The project is going well, and because the spa is still operating during this process, we’re getting all our work done while the business is closed. We expect to finish the project early next year.
