A.O. Construction has an exciting new project to share with our followers, fans, and customers! Remember the work we did for Victory Ridge Academy in Lake Wales? Well here’s a peek at different project we’re working on for them in Davenport to construct a total of seven new buildings, including:
- Two Early Learning Classrooms (ELCs)
- An administration building
- A gymnasium
- A cafeteria
- Two buildings to be used as skills labs
This project will be completed in two phases, and we’re currently in phase one. For phase one, we’re building one of the ELCs, the admin building, and the gymnasium. Currently, we’re in the beginning stages of constructing the first ELC building and the admin building concurrently. Both of these will be conventional block buildings with metal roofs. The ELC is a 21,527-square-foot building that will consist of mostly classrooms, while the admin building will measure 18,399 square feet.
Let’s check out some pictures of the ELC and admin building, which feature the stem walls we’ve put up for both buildings.
In addition to the stem wall for the ELC building, we’ve roughed in the underground electrical. From here, we’ll be grading the slab in preparation to pour the concrete. The rebar coming up from the stem will be used to continue running the block wall after the slab is poured.
We’ve also roughed in the underground plumbing for the ELC building.

The stem walls will provide structural support for the ELC building once completed.
The admin building is also in the same stage, with the stem walls erected.
We broke ground on this project earlier this year on July 1. This is an extensive project, and we expect to be complete with the ELC and admin building by July 2025.
