Remember our project for Jarrett Gordon Ford in Davenport? Well, we’re back with another update, and we’re making some impressive progress.
This is A.O. Construction’s second project with Jarrett Gordon, and it involves erecting a Nucor pre-engineered metal building (PEMB), which will be used as a heavy-duty truck service center. Once completed, it will feature 19 service bays, 3,000 square feet of interior buildout, and an upstairs structural steel mezzanine for parts storage.
In our last update, we were finishing the slab and starting to erect the building. Since then, we’ve set the columns, started erecting the end walls, and started in on the roof. Let’s take a look at our progress so far!
First, we set the steel columns and tied them together with the eave strut at the top.
Once we set all the columns, we started on the end wall.
We’re also working on the opposite endwall. We’ve stood the posts, and from here we’ll be installing the endwall girts.
We’ve installed the rafters and tied them in with the roof purlins. The next step will be to finish installing the roof purlins.
We’ve started the framing for the door installation, and have we’ve installed the wide wall girts and rod bracing, as well as banding the roof.
With all the steel erected, the next step will be to start on the roof sheets.
For the roof, we’ve installed the roof purlins and hurricane banding.
