This week our Project Build blog features a pre-engineered metal building we are constructing for Advanced Aluminum.
Advanced Aluminum has two facilities — one in Lakeland and another in Fitzgerald, GA. They sell metal roofing and siding products throughout the Southeast. With a total of nearly 130,000 square feet of fabrication floor and the largest inventory in the Southeast, they are able to turn around custom orders in much less time than other metal roofing manufacturers. In fact, we purchase many of the components we use for our metal buildings from Advanced Aluminum.
The building we’re working on is 48 feet x 100 feet with a 12-foot canopy. We broke ground in January and you can take a look at these photos to see our progress so far.
We’ve set the columns and tied them in with a wall purlin.
We continued to set wall purlins and run the roof purlins.
Our team has also completed the primary and secondary framing erection. You’ll also see the rod bracing and endwall framing.
Next, we will start the insulation process, using rib 12 sheeting, and install the metal sheets. We’re using a combination of Dean Steel building frames and secondary framing/metal sheets provided by Advanced Aluminum. We will also add two roll-up doors.
Advanced Aluminum already has an existing warehouse, so adding this building will give them more ground to run their business. Our projected completion date of May 31 is right around the corner.
